 My sweet Kiera

You sure are an energetic little girl. You and your family just came and spent a few days with us in Florida. It’s never long enough, but it’s getting so hard for everybody to leave when your kids are so busy. You actually left on Valentine’s Day and you made cards for Carol and Kathi, Two of my friends here.

There is a woman in the park who paints rocks and she left a bunch of valentine rocks out. You gathered up a lot and you re-hid some and some you passed out to people. One person here told me that you came up to her and said I wanted to give this to Someone special and you gave it to her, so she was pretty excited. People told me how polite you and Caden always are.

Every morning you would walk around the pond by yourself. You were very excited to be able to just go for a walk.. It was so cute you also love to walk over to Kathy’s house and Carol’s house. So Kathy told me the first time you came over to her house this trip you sat on the couch very lady like and you both had a nice conversation. She said the second time you came over you jumped over the couch like it was a pole vault and then she had a barstool sitting there and you asked to sit on it and you went up and down and up and down and up and down. Haha

When you guys flew home, Bryan and Sommer were actually at the airport waiting for their flight to come here. Your mom knew they would be so you guys actually found them and you told them everything we did. Every time I went to tell them something, they said oh Kiera told us. Even down to what kind of ice cream we had. You don’t forget a thing.

We went kayaking, the manatees.

I feel so blessed that everyone wants to come and spend time with Papa and I. We sure are lucky. I love you so much, honey.

My dear Kiera,

You are now in fourth grade the last year in the elementary school, and then you’re off to the middle school. And next week is your 10th birthday, I can’t believe you’re in the double digits now. You are on the safety patrol at school, And you sure do love it. You’re the perfect person for it.

I had hip replacement a few weeks ago and you sent me a text and it said Grammy are you OK? How was the surgery? I saw a picture of you walking. I hope you feel better. Love you.

How sweet was that?

You are going to get another ear piercing for your birthday, you’re pretty excited about that And I get to go and watch, and I’m pretty excited about that

 My dear Kiera, 

Your family and uncle Bryan,  aunt Sommer, Bryce, and Bowen and Papa and I all went on a little family cruise. It was just a quick three nighter. The ship was like a playground. It was more about the ship than the destinations. We had a great time, and I sure had fun with you guys. My only regret is uncle Danny and his family didn’t make it.

You guys came to our Florida place before, and after the cruise in my one neighbor, Kathy, you love to go visit her. Kathy had some spacers in her toes in the second day you went over to see her you said to her “ what is that between your toes, I wanted to ask you yesterday, but it was my first day here and I thought I should wait a day before I asked you. “

You have such a kind caring heart and I sure love you

 My sweet Keira,

You guys all came to Florida for a week and we all went on a three day cruise. It was a great time being together as always. I sure miss you when I’m gone. 

You love my neighbor Kathi, and when you come here you always want to go visit her. So, the first day you go over and visit her and then the second day we go over and she’s in her bare feet again and she has a spacer between her toes. You said to her I noticed that yesterday, but I didn’t want to ask because it was my first day here but why do you have that in your toes. You just crack me up.

 My dear Kiera,

So on Christmas Eve you and your family came down to the house and Caden says Grammy what’s for supper and your mama says guys we didn’t come here for supper. We have a ton of leftovers at home. And you said then why did we come here? Oh my gosh it just cracked me up when you said that. Then you asked me if I thought you were on the naughty or the nice list. You were very concerned about that. I told you you were absolutely on the nice list. But your mom said even after you got home you were concerned you might be on the naughty list. But Santa came so all was well.

A couple days after Christmas. I got us all tickets to go to a play, you and your mom, aunt sommer and Bryce, Aunt Marissa and Lorelei. I got you three girls a necklace that was matching. So i gave it to you on the ride up, and Bryce sees it and gets very excited. and she says, Kate Spade, you get excited because she is, but you were excited because there was bubble wrap around your necklace. Hilarious.

We face timed on New Year’s eve, and you told me your family was making a fort, which is your tradition and then you all lay in the living room and watch TV until midnight. You told me you always look forward to,this night. 💖🥳

You are such a little sweetheart, and I love you so much

 My dear Kiera!

We were in church last week, and your Mama left to go to the potty and you were going to follow her. Two seconds later, you were back beside us, and I asked if you didn’t find her, and you said no, I like this song, so I had to come back. You love music. When a song comes on, you cannot sit still. You just love to dance, and sing

 My dear Kiera,

We got a new doggie, your mama sent us a picture and of course we went and looked and it was all over at that point. Haha. You said to me “ I am so happy for you guys” what a sweet thing to say 💖

Your mama just quit her job at web tech and is working at Mckean school, You get to ride with her in the morning in the evening. And you are just so excited to have her there. You will remember this the rest of your life I’m sure. What time you got to spend with your mama writing back-and-forth to school, what a wonderful memories.

Me to you: do you need a hug and kiss?

K: I need a man to hug and kiss

Me: What? A man?

K: It’s a bar joke

Me: Again:  what?

I guess it is from a song, but I didn’t know that at the time 😂
