 My dear little Kiera!

How much do I love you? More than anything.  You are so precious.  We all went to see Beauty and the Beast play and it was wonderful, you loved it.  Then your mom took you to see the Nutcracker a couple weeks later and I asked how you liked the Nutcracker and you said "it was sleepy"  and I ask about that and you said "well, it made me tired"  haha. I don't like the Nutcracker either, so I am with you on that!

You were remembering Florida that other day and you said "Remember when we were in Florida? As soon as Kathi came out of her house, that is when I fell in love with her"  so precious.  You and Caden both loved going to her house.  And she was very nice to both of you.  

Remember to always seek advice from other people when things are troubling you or something is going wrong.  God does talk to us through his people and we do have to discern what we take home with us, and the rest we leave.   But people can have so much to offer and we have to try to listen to others.

 My dear sweet Kiera,

You are now in kindergarten and you have cried every day.  Makes all of us so so sad for you.  Since you are such a dynamite, we all felt you would love school.  And I think you still will, it is just a matter of time. 

One night you and your family were at my house and your mommy and daddy and Caden were going somewhere (I don't remember where) and they were all getting ready and you were putting on your shoes too and your daddy turned around and said "I love you, see you soon" and you looked at me and said "Did I hear him right? Is he leaving me"  It was so funny, obviously your parents didnt tell you the plan for the night. 

Then one day after school your mommy and daddy were going to pick up their van and your daddy didn't really explain that I was supposed to be at your house for you and Caden.  We were going there, just didn't know you would be alone.  So, I got there with Bryce and Bowen and you guys had been home alone a few minutes and you were just talking a mile a minute and so so loud.  The more excited you get the louder you get.  But you guys did great.  You know how to get in the house and you shut the garage door and tried to contact your daddy to let him know.

Caden fell on the road a few weeks ago and really got some major burns, and Papa and I stopped at your house and we were making a fuss over Caden and you started to show us some pains you have and Papa says "those are sympathy pains, did you know that?" and you said "hmm, I did not know that"

I love you and so excited for your birthday this week

 My dear little Kiera

When you were at my house the other day, you wanted to do a spa day. So, you put music on Alexis, put lotion on my legs, put a pony tail in my hair and you massaged me. Then you sang me a lullaby and  you were whispering the song as you made it up and you just cracked me up b/c you never whisper.  But the song you sang said "go to sleep, la la la and don't be sad there are only three more Wednesdays left, go to sleep and relax"  It was so funny.  Because this year all you guys will be in school so you know I will be alone and you know I will be sad.

 Dear Kiera,

You are such a little hoot.  We were driving to McDonalds with Caden, Bowen and Bryce and you said "Grammie, the boys are picking on me"  and I didn't want to foster tattle tail and you guys are always picking on someone, so I tried to deflect and said " well, we are almost to McDonalds " and you said "well, i don't know how that helps me"  and when you got home that night, you told your parents this exact story.  so funny!

We were just at Aunt Judys for a minute and she was showing me a couple formal dresses that she kept but can't squeeze into anymore.  And you saw one and said "that is beautiful and I am sure I could squeeze into it."

You are such a spitfire too.  But you are such a people pleaser, remember to please yourself first and the rest will follow.  But don't ever give up who you are in an attempt to please someone else

 My dear Kiera,

You and your family came to Florida to spend two weeks with Papa and I because still in quarantine and Caden and your Daddy could do school and work from Florida.  And you were so funny!  You were so happy to be interacting with people and it sure showed.  It has been a long year.  You told me "there are a lot of nice old people here" 

Then our neighbor Kathy, you and Caden would go over several times a day and the first day, she answered the door and you said "well, you could open the door" and she says only if you are coming in because I don't want the bugs coming in and you said "we are coming in" and she said she was in her pajamas and you said "thats ok, we don't care"  So, you two went in and Caden said I like your sun porch, can we go sit out there?

You visited with everyone and were so friendly and nice to everyone.  One woman had really short white hair and it was spiked and you told her you liked her hair.

you told me there were still dogs there that you hadn't met yet.  The day you were getting ready to leave you went across the street and Carol has a very tiny dog and you wanted to say goodby to the doggie. Carol was holding it and you grabbed her paws and said "I have to go home, Dempsey, but you be a good girl for your mommy"

You had a booboo and someone asked about it and you said "I really don't want to talk about my booboo"

I love you so much Kiera and I pray for you everyday to stay strong and loving and independent. You will be a very successful, compassionate and intelligent adult.

 My dear Kiera!

I love you to pieces.  Before we came to Florida you were at the house and you were doing something and I said "you are so cute" and Papa goes "humpt" and you look very surprised and look at me and say "doesn't he think I'm cute"

Then Caden was dressed as superman and you said "no fair, he saves the world and I am just sitting here"

When you guys spend the night, Papa always just sleeps on the couch and you guys sleep with me.  So, the last time , in the morning you asked me "where is Papa's room"  and I said you mean where does he sleep and you said yes and I said "well, in my bedroom, it is his room too" and you said "tell me you are lying right now"  I had you repeat it twice b/c I just can't believe the things that come out of your mouth sometimes.

You mail me cards while I am in Florida and I sure do love them, they are the most special thing ever to me. 

Remember, little lady, you will be able to do anything at all in life, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.  You are very smart and very determined.
